Jennifer Perna started Fulton Market Consulting in May 2017 after developing an event experience and sales management portfolio for over 25 years in the Chicago catering and events industry. Jennifer works with various hospitality- related companies to mentor and coach owners, managers and team players looking for a fresh audit of their sales, operations, financial, business development and general management practices. Prior to starting her business, Jennifer joined Blue Plate Catering in August of 2008 as the Vice President of Sales. Jennifer thrived in her position, leading a team of 32 dynamic sales and production associates generating annual revenue exceeding $25 million in off-premise catering sales. Her role involved not only increasing sales volume but also mentoring, supporting and coaching the team both logistically and creatively on all events from concept to execution. Jennifer is a passionate and involved member of the International Caterers Association (ICA) where she is on the Executive Board as the President’s Council Chair. She also is an active member of the Catersource Advisory Council. She is a proud graduate of the Cornell School of Hotel Administration, where she returns each year to teach a class on Catering and Special Events.
