Cranberry = Catersource education sessions
Bright pink = TSE education sessions
Dark blue = those sessions or events that can be attended by anyone with a Catersource or TSE pass, or requires a separate ticket.
Find your best experience by first choosing the pass type you have purchased. This will weed out all other extraneous sessions.
Sessions do fill up and seating is first come, first served. Note: Individual presentations may also be on this website shortly before the published show dates. They may or may not be the final presentation.
Jeffrey Selden leverages his 30-year long party history in his role as Managing Partner of Marcia Selden Catering. With an extensive background in luxury event planning, honed at some of the country's most exclusive hotels, including The St. Regis, The Pierre and The New York Palace, he holds an industry-wide reputation as a power event-builder with a unique, creative vision and flawless results.
Jeffrey left the hotel world after designing, developing, hiring and building Gilt Restaurant which quickly became a luxury 2-star Michelin restaurant and the place to be seen at the NY Palace. He was the Director of F&B and Catering at the NY Palace Hotel, just prior to joining his family’s business in CT and NYC.
Selden currently runs the operations and sales for his family’s multimillion-dollar company. The first catering company ever inducted into the Connecticut Restaurant Association’s Hall of Fame, Marcia Selden Catering was also named to The Knot Weddings Hall of Fame, and Best Caterer & Best of the Gold Coast by Moffly Media for the last 15 years. Along with his sister, Robin, the “Dynamic Sibling Duo” were named two of the “100 Most Inspiring People” in the Wedding industry by The Knot.
With matriarch Marcia at the helm, the company orchestrates over 1000 events a year. Winner of the coveted Internationally recognized Catie Award for Caterer of the Year, Marcia Selden Catering has been considered the “It” caterer of the NY Tri-State area for over 40 years. They also have offices and a venue in New York City.
Jeffrey is the Past President of the International Caterers Association, the founding President of the NYC Chapter of the Wedding Industry Professionals Association (WIPA) while also sitting on their National Board as their current Treasurer. Jeffrey is on the National Board of Pink Aid Breast Cancer Foundation, on the National Board of the Brooke Jackman Literacy Foundation, and is the President of Full Court Peace working to unite, strengthen and educate interracial and different socioeconomic communities through basketball.
For the last seven years he has taught a catering and special events class, with sister Robin, at Cornell University’s famed School of Hospitality and Boston University’s Hotel & Restaurant Management School. Additionally, the duo are invited to speak nationally (and internationally) at countless conferences and summits every year.
