Originally from London, England and now based in Austin, Texas, Sean O’Neill has become a craft cocktail visionary with over 15 years of experience.
He began bartending in and around Atlantic City, New Jersey, first at local bars and then at Continental, a member of Stephen Starr’s world-renowned restaurants.
It was at Continental that Sean really developed his flair for mixology. With access to a wide range of ingredients and a competitive atmosphere, his cocktail creations were regularly featured on the restaurant’s daily specialty drinks menu.
After moving to Austin in 2016 he expanded his knowledge to the world of craft beer. He quickly earned his Cicerone Beer Server certification and has actively participated in inventing several beer collaborations with breweries all over the city, though his passion remains in craft cocktails. He has astonished many high-profile clients with his instincts and skill, including studio executives and Hollywood actors who regularly attend SXSW.
His worldly travels have enabled him to diversify his palette and encouraged him to experiment with a variety of flavors in his concoctions. He is always looking to push the boundaries of flavor while still maintaining a delicate balance that will entice and delight.
Sean currently tends bar at Banger’s Sausage House and Beer Garden in Austin, Texas both upstairs in the beer garden with over 200 taps and in the basement with the speakeasy-themed event space. Sean will be launching his own special event bartending service this year. In the future he plans to open his own speakeasy… but that information is for another day.
