Natalie owns Celebrate Niagara DMC, she is a certified meeting manager through Meeting Professionals International and a Climate Reality Leader through the Climate Reality Project. She is currently working on a Sustainability Certificate at the University of Toronto.
She founded The Sustainable Event Forum in 2018 with a mandate to “Educate, Inspire, Collaborate and Act” and produces “Earth Day for Event People” every April. Over 600 people have completed her online course, “Plan it for the Planet”, she hosts an event sustainability podcast, Planners for the Planet and writes on sustainable events for MeetingsNet.
Natalie has received the Events Industry Council Global Award for Social Impact, the Joy Fox Award for Excellence in Innovation and the MeetingsNet Changemaker Award. She has been recognized by WWF- Canada and the Globe & Mail as a changemaker in events and sustainability. She is often featured in industry publications as a subject matter expert and thought leader on sustainable events.
Known for her positive energy and leadership skills, Natalie works to create climate solutions for the events industry that are evidence based, effective and practical.
