Julia Kendrick Conway is the CEO and founder of Assaggiare Mendocino, a northern California destination wedding catering company. She has been in the catering and events industry for over 25 years, and mentors other industry entrepreneurs, in addition to running her own company. With a background in sales, marketing and behavioral psychology, and a BS Business from CA State University, San Jose, Julia brings a wealth of experience to the table. Her culinary background includes the Culinary Institute of America in Napa, a cooking program in Tuscan, and years in the kitchen of her own company. Additionally, Julia is active in community building and industry advocacy at both the state and national level, and serves on the NACE National Advocacy team and the Executive Advisory Board for the California Events Coalition. Her next project is an Arizona arm of her company providing curated private dining experiences and culinary education featuring the foods and traditions of the Sonoran desert and her new home in Tucson, a UNESCO City of Gastronomy.
