Events industry advocacy was virtually unhear of until the entire sector was shut down in the spring of 2020 due to the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. Tens of thousands of live event professionals were suddenly out of work, with no resources and no visibility at the regional, state or national government level. Out of this catastrophe was born opportunity; the creation of not only the Live Events Coalition (LEC) but a variety of state-specific grass-roots organizations such as the California Events Coalition.
Hear the story about how and why these organizations were so vital to reopening and recovery. Panel members will bring us up to date on the challenges we faced, where we stand today, what we have accomplished together, and what is needed going forward.
Attendees will walk away with a road map for their own participation in this vital aspect of the future of the live events industry, and how they can help not only the regional, state and national efforts, but how their work can impact the future of their own organization and industry sector. Learn what major challenges are still facing the industry, and how each individual contribution can be a vital part of the ongoing recovery and future growth of live events.
Help us shape a vibrant and successful future for all of us in the live events industry and attend this important learning opportunity.
